Who we are

Jalgaon Cyclists, Jalgaon is a community cycling club in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. This policy covers the website at https://jalgaoncyclists.com.

Strava data

If you choose to connect your Strava account, we ask Strava for these permissions: read, activity:read_all and activity:write.

In practice this site only ever reads from Strava. It does not create, edit or delete your activities. The write permission is requested but unused, and we intend to remove it.

From your account we store:

  • your Strava athlete ID and display name;
  • for each ride: type, distance, moving time, and the local start date and time;
  • the access and refresh tokens needed to keep reading your rides.

We use this to build the club leaderboard and the athlete dashboard, and to recognise members who ride consistently.

Photos you submit

When you upload a photo to the gallery we store the image file along with the title, description, your name, your city, and your email address if you provide one. Photos appear publicly only after an organiser approves them. Your email address is never shown on the site — it is used to contact you about your submission.

Event registration

Entering an organised ride uses a separate form that collects your full name, date of birth, gender, blood group, address, mobile number, emergency contact name, relationship and phone number, T-shirt size, and optionally your Strava profile link.

That form submits to Google Forms, so Google receives and stores this information under its own privacy policy. We collect it for rider safety during the event and to organise logistics.

Visits to this site

We record a session identifier, the time of your first and most recent page view, and your IP address, so we can show how many people use the site. This is not tied to your Strava account or to any name.

Who else sees your data

We do not sell, rent or trade any of it. It is shared only with the services this site is built on:

  • Strava — the source of ride data, under Strava's own privacy policy.
  • Google — receives event registration form responses, and processes the Strava authorisation step when you connect your account.
  • Our web host — stores the site's database and uploaded files.

Your choices

  • Disconnect Strava at any time from Strava → Settings → My Apps. We stop receiving new rides immediately.
  • Ask us to delete what we hold — your stored rides, your tokens, a photo you submitted, or your event registration. Email manojcpatil@gmail.com and we will remove it.
  • Ask what we hold — we will tell you.

Children

Strava requires its users to be at least 16. Younger riders are welcome on club rides, but should be registered for events by a parent or guardian.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we will update this page and the date at the top.
